j)       Bearing plates

k)    Rollers

m.) Hardware

Installation of this door system will require a working knowledge of overhead sectional door systems and should be pre-formed by a qualified door installer. Installation of this system will require alteration of the current sectional overhead garage door.

 Step 1

Check all the door dimensions to verify that size of the 900 door is the same as the existing door system.

 Step 2

Hardware the door with the sectional overhead door hardware. Install the bottom fixtures, side hinges and top fixtures with the provided tech screws in the pre-drilled holes.  (do not install the center hinges at this time).

 Step 3

Raise the existing door all the way up and mark a line on the existing door track. Approximately 6” below that mark cut the backside of the existing track out apx. 3 ½”. Make sure you do not place the switch where top fixture of the existing door will travel through the switch.

Install the switches. There is a RH and LH switch. The switch is installed with the track paddle switch facing down. See drawing to determine RH and LH Switch.

 Step 4

Install the new track into the slot at approximately 30-degree angle. The track will have to be miter cut to allow a smooth flow of the rollers into and through the track. The top of the track should be secured with 2” x 2” x 1/8” angle (not supplied).

Install the bearing plates, springs and end bearing plates as you would a normal sectional overhead vertical lift door.

 Step 5

Install the door panels in the lower track and attach cables to the bottom fixtures. Make sure the cables do not hit or rub any objects. Add tension to the spring.

 Step 6

Install center hinges. They are not pre-drilled. Lower the door to the ground. Clamp panels together with c clamp or quick grip at the rail location. Install center hinges parallel to the door rails with tech screws.

 Step 7

Check door tension and operation. Make sure the rollers are flowing through the switch properly.
